About Us

The seed of our writing consultancy was first planted in August of 1990 when JP began working in the Richmond area as “The Travelling Tutor.” She primarily worked to assist graduate students with their master’s theses and doctoral dissertations.

All of our writing consultants are published writers, have teaching experience in the college classroom, and have graduate level degrees.

We not only consider ourselves to be “editors,” but also embrace the term “wordsmiths.” We all read voraciously and avidly. The written word, for us, has the potential to promote understanding, inspire action, glean knowledge, and share ideas. Whether editing, copywriting, ghostwriting, or lecturing, we remain enthusiastic coaches to our writers. As educators, we all have a desire to promote learning and we work closely with our clients to share techniques and strategies for improvement. We work in strict confidentiality.
